The sounds of the fireplace with the sounds of snowfall are very soothing and relaxing. "It was a winter day off and my friends John and Bob and I decided to drive to the nearby town of Townsbrook to visit the famous Christmas market. Townsbrook was about 120 miles away, and we figured we'd be there in one hour. But as soon as we left the city it began to snow. He was not strong, but the visibility of the road had clearly deteriorated. The road became slippery as it was bitterly cold outside. An hour and a half after we left, we decided once again to check the route on the map (in those days there were no navigators yet). Within a couple of minutes, we realized that we had passed the turn we needed, and went on the wrong road. We turned around and decided to go to the road we needed, but again got lost. It was strange and mysterious, since we drove dozens of times along the same road, and it was ridiculous to get lost, but it happened to us. In total, we had traveled several hundred miles, and the arrow on the car's dashboard showed that there was very little gas left. There were no gas stations nearby, so after driving a few dozen miles we saw a village and decided to ask for help here. The very first house that we met was quite large and beautiful. We went to the front door, knocked, the door was opened by a middle-aged man. We told him a story that happened to us, and he happily invited us to go into the house. He led us into the living room, where a fireplace was burning, a chopped Christmas tree stood by the large panoramic windows, and boxes with Christmas gifts lay next to it. He invited us to sit on the sofa, and he sat down in a armchair. After that, a pleasant-looking woman entered the room, it was his wife, her name was Emily, she offered us tea. We naturally agreed and thanked for the hospitality. The owner of the house was named Edward, he suggested that we wait out the snowfall, spend the night in their house, and fill up the car in the morning. As it was already getting dark and the snowfall was intensifying, we accepted the offer. After talking a little with the owner of the house, Richard, and drinking tea, we warmed up very well, and the sounds of the fireplace, combined with the sounds of a blizzard outside the window, very relaxed us. The window offered a beautiful view of the forest and mountains." To be continued...
