25th Oct, 2021, we checked out from our resort Roof Top Cottages at Ghughukham and started for Mukteswar, however, we had a plan for trekking to Naina peak before finally leaving Nainital. It's 3 km trek to the peak, which is popularly known as Cheena peak or Chaina Peak, however, recently renamed as Naina Peak, which is the highest point of Nainital at 2611 m.
From the peak, on a clear day, the entire Naina Devi range is visible along with the Indian border with China. However, the most exciting view is from the view point, which is 200 m from the peak, from this view point breathtaking view of entire Nainital along with the Naini lake will make you mesmerized, we were stunned with this bird's eye view of Nainital.
